“So…

Today’s the day Ian, Bella, and I test for our next ranks at Dragons Kung Fu. As usual, I’m my “freaking-out” self. Ian and Bella have been in the “I’m not ready”, “I don’t think I want to do this” mode for the last week or so, but I took the day off so we’d have some time before the test to actually review and to not go into this wishing we would have done so.

Ian and I have recently received our 4-year cetificates, so we’ve got quitea bit to know and test on. During our review this afternoon, he did AWESOME, so I really think (other than the time to do it all and the 20 minute +/- horse stance and pssible sparring that comes afterwards) he should do quite well.

Bella, once I figured out she didn’t have to know Ian’s releases, did pretty good with her releases and techniques, too. I’m positive the time spent with them today was exactly what was needed. Now…retaining it all (for all of us) will be the key objective.

We’re on the road right now – Beth driving and all of us just waiting to arrive and get this done and behind us. If the kids are anything like me, which I know they are, they are somewhat perfectionsists and are pretty nervous about it all. Can’t help it – no matter what the test, I freak out every time.

It’s 5:15pm and the testing starts at 6:30pm – right after the Little Dragons class (which starts at 6pm). We’re to be there early so we’re ready and on time, but sitting there and just waiting just kinda gets my nerves going just as much.

I guess there’s not much else to do except to get it done. And, if all goes well, I’ll be at brown and gold (1 rank below black sash), Ian will be at brown (2 ranks below junior black sash),and Bella will be at green and gold.

I’m anticipating a good three hours and more to get through it all – I may or may not be too tired to update with another post.

Well, I forgot – guess that shows how far behind I am on everything. Still, it’s better than not ever posting it, I suppose.

With a bit of effort, I’ve actually logged in and updated a few more dreams for the “Dream Blog”. If you happen upon and actually look at them, I hope they’re somewhat entertaining…

Past that, I’m not sure when, but more will follow.
